Welcome to my portfolio. My name is Leah Wickersham and I'm an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
I teach courses in the graduate Educational Technology program related to theoretical concepts for learning and change, instructional design, research methods, and foundational technology skills for teaching and learning. I also advise doctoral students in our Supervision, Curriculum and Instruction in Higher Education EdD program. Some of my other responsibilities at the university are concentrated on faculty development efforts related to effective teaching practices.
My research interests have revolved around learning outcomes assessment via electronic portfolios, diffusion and adoption of innovations within organizational systems, fostering critical thinking through online learning communities, and best practices in instructional design for the online learning environment.
